I’m most interested in films that have never been processed, but a visitor to my website sent these negatives and I couldn’t resist. Robert Reader found them at a flea market in Missouri. They once belonged to Alice Claxton and they’re fadeproofed. Unlike the rest of us.

If you’re really lucky, three generations will remember you. That third generation will have a vague memory of your existence. You’ll be a distant memory to them. A shadow of what you used to be. All your memories go with you.

Families are the fabric of our lives. It’s the place that we keep our hearts. It’s what makes us vulnerable and it’s what makes us strong.

Alice Claxton was born on October 22, 1921 and died on the 30th of August, 2001. Her last residence was in Bunker Hill, Il. Her husband, Elmer was a “slitter operator” for Olin Industries
