Some time ago I received an email offering me some old film. Of course I accepted the offer.
What I got was an envelope containing negatives cut into individual frames. There are about 50
exposures. There was a note with the film.
Dear sir
“My husband was a commercial photographer for many years here in Iowa. At Christmas time he worked for Sears and Roebuck
and other places taking pictures of children with Santa Claus. Years ago a number of stores went out of business and my husband
acquired some of his old negatives.
I know you’ll enjoy these photographs. I don’t know what else to do
with them. I think they were taken with a Nikon 35. God bless you.”
Note: Nearly all of them have exposure issues. I wonder if they were rejects.
