Rock hard bakelite camera made in France from 1938 through the fifties. It’s equipped with a helical telescoping front and produces 6×9 images on 620 film. The only place on which the name “Photax” appears is on the lens cap. The numbers “1” and “2” are iris openings. They look to be about f8 and f16. The shutter release is threaded to accept a cable release for you fancy types.
