BY PHO – TAK
c. 1950
I’ve got a fetish for Pho-Tak box cameras and I don’t know why. The only one I’m missing is the Marksman Synchro Flash. There are five true boxes made by Pho-tak and there all pretty much the same. Mr. Pho-Tak must have gotten a deal from Mr. Zellar, all his cameras feature the 110 mm Zellar. The cameras are all fabricated from sheet metal and produce 6×9 images.
If you check McKeown’s you’ll see that his photo shows the Spectator Flash 120 with a plain face. Mine is obviously quite rare and worth a fortune. Check out the original wrist strap on this baby. Notice the intricate yet well labeled control systems.
