A big windstorm and the advent of Eastern Standard Time combined to blow away the remains of summer 2006.

I visited this cornfield for two days in a row. It seemed an appropriate place to document the passing of another summer.




















































Freezing nights have turned the  cornstalks into paper. The leaves rustle in the wind.
