Ansco Shur Shot Special 1935 - 1941This is the early version of the Shur Shot Special. It's really a handsome camera and it's in mint condition. I don't think it's had more than a couple of rolls run through it.
It's equipped with a close-up lens and makes 6x9 images on 120 film.
Before the world became standardized, cameras
were quirky items. The shutter on the Special is an excellent example
of this quirkiness. The shutter makes an exposure when you push it down
or lift it up. It's
counter-intuitive, but that's life when you muddle around with ancient
cameras.
As explained
above, the shutter works both ways.
