My friend bought this workhorse some time last year. I brought it back to life with my amazing skills but I put the lens cap on upside down for the above photograph.

Someone loved the hell out of this old camera.

I wonder if the 3.5 Tessar was a bit out of the original owners price range. The 3.8 was the middle quality lens. Just ahead of the 4.5.
The camera is equipped with a Compur shutter (1-300.) There was a Compur-Rapid available (1-500)

Eighty years after its birth this Rollei still works. The 1 second shutter speed drags a bit. Terrible quality control !

This Rollei was focused a few times I'd say.

There's a brass plug over the red window on the camera bottom. The bezel reads B2 film 6x9.
I don't know how you'd shoot 6x9s in this camera. The film opening is 6x6.

Huh ?

It's been an easy winter here, thus far. Little snow and warmer than usual. Still, by February, I've had enough of winter's gloom.
These shots were all done in the gloom.
