| These photos were taken with the same camera that photographed Abraham Lincoln and the family on the sucky vacation. The photo on top bears the scars of the roll film horror show that resulted from re-spooling 120 film onto a 620 spool. Hint- don't tape the film end to the paper backing. I shot an entire roll of Verichrome Pan in the Anscoflex only to discover that the shutter was sticking open. The only shots that turned out OK are the ones shown here. My wife apparently has the magic touch. I'll clean up the shutter and try again. I've got a Rolleiflex, a Toyo 4x5 and a few other expensive "pro" cameras. They certainly blow away old consumer cameras like the Anscoflex when it comes to resolution and contrast but I love the look these dinosaurs lend to a photo. They're a joy to use. Nothing to think about but the subject. |
