Connecticut River Stripers
Catching Stripers on topwater lures requires a lot of patience and many casts. These fish are tuned into whatever bait they may chasing. In The River that bait is the Blueback Herring. If the Stripers are chasing bait down you won't catch one.
Stripers school heavily so there are long periods of nothing going on. When they show up you'd better cast quickly or you'll miss your chance to hook up with one of these drag-burning fish.
